1950's - Alcoa Mastic developed the Z-line clip-on system for installing siding--the forerunner of today's systems. Alcoa Mastic also began developing vinyl siding.

1960's - Alcoa Mastic introduced the revolutionary T-lok panel locking system, which enhanced the strength and stability of vinyl siding. In 1969, Alcoa Mastic introduced and marketed the T-lok vinyl panel Barkwood.

1970's - Alcoa Mastic created Duranyl, a patented vinyl powder blend that produces solid-color-clear-through vinyl siding for greater durability and visual impact.

1980's -Alcoa Mastic added the extra sun-fading resistance to the Duranyl formula of GELOY® resin, manufactured by GE Plastics; introduced new colors and styles; and pioneered the development of Dutch-lap designs and cedar-look sidings.

1990's - Alcoa Mastic introduced QUEST3 SeriesTM Premium Vinyl Siding, setting new standards of toughness and resiliency. Premium T-lok Barkwood reached its 30th year as one of the industry's most recognized and popular choices.
